Mad About Cars

At first glances you will think that this car is something out of Robocop mainly due to the size and the futurists LED lights however this car could be on the streets next year.

Yes this is new police interceptor that could be used you may have already seen the Volvo’s, BMW’s and the Subaru however this Ford  based on the Taurus has been heavily upgraded for 100,000 hard miles a year. Brakes and suspension are upgraded i would say this vehicle is pursuit-ready.

It comes either as a V6 FWD or a turbo Ecoboost V6 with 4WD. If that car takes hold, powersliding movie car chases will never be the same again.

The Question i have is when is Top Gear returning? If your into your cars there is going to be one car show you cannot live without and for me it is Top Gear. This show has everything a car show should have which is great presenters Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond & James May and together these guys can be unbelievably funny.

As well as showing the newest cars the also look at the old comparing and racing each in a verity of challenges. The challenges they take will make any one envy them especially the ones they have done abroad.

The only thing i want to know now is when the show is going to return.

It was only last year i was looking at buying a brand new car and the hardest thing was whether or not to buy brand new, ex demo or used.

Of course i had to decide on what i wanted to buy with a 13,000 budget and so started to look at manufactures the first ones i thought of where Vauxhall, Volkswagen Seat and Audi.

After weeks of test drives and going over the car specs i decided that i wanted something sporty but that was efficient on petrol.

The three cars i narrowed it down to was the:

Vauxhall Astra 1.4 sxi

Seat Leon 1.4 tsi

Volkswagen 1.4 s

After looking at the specs and the prices i decided to go with an ex demo Seat Leon it has the sporty feel with a six gear change and the 1.4 engine makes it that bit efficient.

For all car enthusiasts over the next couple of years we are in for some great looking cars. Being big in to my fast sports cars I thought I would do a bit of investigation work to see what some of the big manufacturers are going to be producing over the next year or so and i have to say we are in for some treats such as the:

Ferrari 458 Italia

Has to be one of the most beautiful cars produced i love this car.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera

The noise this car makes is ment to blow you away!!

Lexus LF-A

costs £336 grand. wow now that is a lot of money lets see how many of these actually sell.

For everyone who loves their fast cars will love F1 and Sunday marked the start of the season in Bahrain. With 24 cars lined up on the grid and many new drivers and teams it made way for a great race many with their eyes on the return of Michael Schumacher to the track.

The new rule of no re-fueling has been criticised by many as some have suggested that it makes it impossible to overtake unless someone makes a mistake.

The Ferraris of Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa took first and second place with Lewis Hamilton taking third spot to get a podium finish.
