Going from a 1.8 turbo to a 1.25

Recently my beloved Audi A6 broke down on me while camping in Anglesey. I got recovered home and then took a look into what was wrong with the car. So in the meantime while the car is being fixed I am using a Y reg Ford Fiesta that is great. It’s better on economy than my 1.8 turbo Audi and is handy for getting in any tight parking spaces. It’s a much more practical car. But the one thing I miss is the thrust and pace of the Audi. I also miss having a quiet cabin that doesn’t rattle when you go over 70.

Audi just gets better, and better, and bigger!

The Q7, was first rolled out the shed around 3 years ago as it rocketed to the top shelf of our 4×4 stores on a grand scale as one of the most, if not the most, comfortable, sporty, high performance, business and recreational use vehicle ever to hit our market!

Now, in 2010, were set to see a bigger, better, new improved Q7 that’s more elegant in style and more efficient in all the best areas.

This version is to comprise much lower emissions. The Q7 3.0L TDI will consume only 9.1litres of fuel per 100 kilometres!

And if that wasn’t good enough for you, there’s an even better option – introducing the world’s cleanest diesel technology with fuel consumption even lower still! A mere 8.9 Lt consumption to every 100 km!

This will ensure Audi a leadership position!….

Audi Sales Suffer!

February 11, 2009 :: Posted by - Laura :: Category - Audi

Almost a third of car sales for the month of January plummet as the effects of the economy hit hard. Leading Car Dealerships like Audi say they have suffered a 29% loss and up to 31% around Europe. Its a lack of consumer confidence and the record sales that hit last year that reflects this major decrease.

“This year wont be easy for anyone” said Peter Schwarzenbauer, an Audi board member, ” But our strategy remains expansive” he added….

On a positive note, in comparison with competitors, Audi’s attempt to target the younger market has been a well recieved success, with a younger based product range it has proven a growing market share.

And with bright spots such as Austrailia bringing up to a 6% increase in sales, there are certainly means for some action….

Audi A7

December 12, 2008 :: Posted by - Sam :: Category - Audi

Audi’s new model, the A7, has been spotted in final testing pending a full release in 2010. The new car is designed as a rival to the Mercedes CLK (and the upcoming Porsche Panamera), as a range-topping luxury saloon car.

The car is expected not to be sold with a four-cylinder engine, with the 2.8 6-cylinder Audi engine expected to be the base model, and the 3.0 litre Audi turbo-diesel engine expected to be the most popular (with the said diesel engine also featuring in the new Porsche Cayenne diesel).

A cabriolet version has also been mooted, which will be a rival to the BMW 6-series, which in itself has been a huge hit with buyers since its launch.

As a range-topping car, it will not be a cheap model, with prices of the new car expected to start at around £50,000. In a market where the Mercedes CLK has been able to dominate relatively unchallenged, there will soon be some stiff competition with the Audi and Porsche (along with this, Aston Martin are rumoured to be producing their own four-door luxury saloon).

The new car represents the next chapter in Audi’s history, with the company also developing an all new replacement for the A8 model, which will be sold as a joint range-topping car, alongside the proposed A7.
