Are you mad about cars, but short on funds? This is often the case for car enthusiasts, as motor vehicles and their accessories cost so much money these days that unless you have a ready supply of cash, you simply can’t afford to indulge your passion.

However, there is a way you can boost your income without having to spend much of your valuable time or money. The solution is online bingo, the fun and fast-paced game that will help you save up enough to eventually get your slick new motor.

There is lots of cash to be won during online bingo games, but even if you don’t win enough to actually buy a car, you can still shop ‘til you drop for car accessories. After a big win, you can use your winnings to buy a personalised number plate, get your car professionally valeted, or get a whole new paint job done.

One of the best sites for big jackpots is Sun Bingo, where right now there is £200 a day to be won in the site’s Rush Hour Bingo promotion. Simply play in one of four quick-fire sessions running every day for the chance to win big in the cash prize draw – then start thinking about how you’ll spend the money!

In a world that requires us to travel long distances on a regular basis, being able to drive your own vehicle is an important trait to have. However, one of the first things to be aware of when driving is that you should ensure you aren’t suffering from any eyesight issues, and if you are then get the appropriate equipment, such as glasses to help you alleviate the problem.

When it comes to applying for a driving licence, the law in the UK states that you must declare whether you have eyesight problems, excluding short- and long-sightedness (myopia or hyperopia respectively) or colour blindness. You should also let them know if you have undertaken surgery to correct your vision.

You will be required to do an eyesight test as part of the practical exam, which consists of reading a licence plate from a certain distance away. If you find you have to wear glasses in order to pass the test, then you must wear glasses whenever you drive too.

Wearing glasses whilst driving is no different than someone who can drive without them. That ebing said, certain types of glasses or special lenses may affect your perception. If you use varifocals take care to actually turn your head when checking traffic and your surroundings, as they can affect your perception when looking to the side.

Buying a used car is a minefield. Even if you have a HPI check done on the vehicle there is no real way to check the vehicles history. Those 45,000 miles on the clock may have been wound back, the car may have been used as a taxi in Beirut, the car might have a pulled a steam engine every weekend to shows across the country and its engine might be ready to give up the ghost.

For those who like to take a chance, choosing a private vehicle can save some money. However for those who want to play it safe it’s best to buy from an approved dealer. They will give you a warrenty so you can take the car back if it breaks down on you on the way home.

Funding for speed cameras could be propped up by revenue from courses offered to offenders instead of prosecution.
The plans, drawn up by the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) would help to prop up the nation’s speed cameras in the wake of sharp spending cuts by the coalition government.

Under current ACPO guide lines, people who have broken the limit by up to 10 per cent plus 6mph (that’s 39mph in a 30mph zone or 72mph in a 60mph zone, can be offered a £100-pound speed awareness course in lieu of a fine and points – provided they haven’t already attended one in the past three years.

Around 30,000 offenders a year currently take part, potentially generating £3 million in extra annual revenue.

The new Mercedes SLS has seen a lot of attention and hype about its recent release. A few weeks ago I saw a picture of Manchester United defender Patrice Evra getting into one. If anyone has the money to buy one it would be a Premier League footballer, and it seems that the Frenchman likes to travel in style. In and around his Cheshire home he will be zipping around the corners, bends and straights at speeds of over 150mph (unless it isn’t safe to do so of course)…

It is only a couple of years since Ronaldo crashed his Ferrari near his home in Alderley Edge.
